California Academy of Sciences

During our short trip to San Francisco we visited The California Academy of Sciences. The museum is located in Golden Gate Park. It is a beautiful museum. We could of easily spent all day inside. My favorite part of the museum was the 4 story rain forest dome. It was very well done. Upon entering the dome you are greeted with the humid weather that you can find in the rain forest. Inside are housed many living species. There were even butterflies throughout just flying free. It was really quite beautiful. Once you've gone through the dome you're taken down to the underground aquarium. It is beautiful and huge! I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised with this place. This is a great place to come. Entrance was $29.95, but we we saved $3 from a flyer we found at the hotel. However, if you take public transportation and show 'em your receipt they'll give you the $3 discount. Pretty cool. I also learned that Thursday nights is 21+ over.... they have drinks and music throughout. I wish I would've known! Aghhh, but still it's a pretty awesome spot. Loved it!
