The Not-Nursery

At first hubby and I thought about giving the baby his own room, his nursery. But after careful thought and sudden first time parent anxiousness we changed our mind. You see the room we want to use is far from our bedroom and I just can't do it. I can't see me leaving my chubster so far from me. And our bedroom gets pretty cold. Sooooo.... the solution was to create a calming space for both baby and us. We've already painted the room a beautiful green called "safari green" and bought a few pieces from ikea to fill the space. We still need to get a shelving unit and a queen bed for us to sleep in. We figure when baby gets older we can ween ourselves back to our bedroom and he can have his own space.

I've also done some baby shopping the past couple of months. I've gotten my start-up cloth diaper stash, some wipes, a few newborn outfits, some 3 month outfits, receiving blankets, grooming kit, etc.

Just thinking about the baby being here is making me sooooooo excited. I know it's going to be hard, but my goodness we've waited soooo long! I can't wait!

Christmas Shopping

Manuel and I went to the Santa Monica Promenade or as it's known now the Santa Monica Place. I hadn't been there in years. It's a pretty nice little mall out in the open air. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't that perfect as it rained on us a bit. Not too bad, but enough to get my hair all in a frizz. I was hoping I'd get everyone their gifts, but that was not happening. At least I was able to get the kiddos their gifts. I'm sure they'll love 'em. Now I gotta get the rest of the family in the next 6 days. :/

Window Shopping

I was bored out of my mind earlier today, so I wanted to get out and do something. However, the heat was keeping me from actually being out and about. So I decided to head to the mall and just window shop. I went into my usual stores; Torrid and Lane Bryant and realized a) I no longer fit into Lane Bryant clothing and b) In a few I'll be completely out of Torrid as well. I didn't realize exactly how much smaller I was. For old times sake, I tried the smallest size in the store and it completely felt like a bag. Wow. It felt so good to realize that with the weight I also lost a lot of inches. So, I headed over to Express and Macy's and played dress up for some time. I actually fit comfortably into their clothes. How exciting, don't ya think? I didn't buy anything though, because I'm pretty much between sizes right now and didn't really see any good sales either... but I sure as hell left feeling so proud of myself :).

SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!

Deal!!!!, originally uploaded by sandrahhhh.

Went to Target or Targé as I like to call it not expecting to buy anything other than Tide, Q-Tips, and some TP, but I got lucky!!! I saw they had one of my fave shows on sale. ."How I Met Your Mother" all seasons on sale. I already have 1 & 2 so I got 3 & 4. . . I also got "Glee" season 1 because it is always being recommended to me. I'll check it out. In all I spent $25 bucks! That's less than one show! Woo hoo!!! I love great deals!!!
