Date Time

Had such a good time today. We got to go to the movies and check out the new Fast and the Furious movie. 

I totally loved it!  It was action packed from the get go and it had enough mushy parts to fill my pregnancy hormone filled heart. LOL

This blog

I've come to realize that lately this has been my pregnancy diary. While a year ago, it was the place in which I spoke about the most hurtful event in my life; the loss of my first pregnancy after battling infertility for 9 years. 

It is funny how life changes in the blink of an eye. Which makes me wonder what I'll write about in the future. Will I focus on my little man, my married life, my battle with PCOS, weightloss? Truly, I have no idea. I do now however, that I really enjoy looking back through my posts and seeing change. 

To see how my life has evolved is truly priceless. I wish I would've done it much sooner. But my posts would probably be just me bitching about work lol. 

Any who, I'm hopeful that I can continue to post and document life's special moments and be able to balance all the topics I mentioned above. Because truly, they're all important in my life. 

Pregnancy Update

 How far Along?

I'm 37 weeks today (aka FULL TERM!)

How big is Baby?

According to my Sprout Pregnancy app on the iPhone baby is somewhere around 6 1/2 pounds and 19 inches long.

How am I feeling?

Feeling pretty good. Lazy at times, but most of the time just good and relaxed. 

Weight?

I haven't weighed myself this week, but at my last appointment I had gained about 27 pounds. 

What do I miss?

Hiking, doing 5k's, and biking. Who would've thunk! I guess because the weather has been beautiful and perfect for those activities that I just can't wait to get back out there (only this time with my little chubster). 

Symptoms?

Peeing like CRAZY! And I don't know why, but when I'm laying down seems like that's when I gots to go even more! lol

Cravings?

Mango. Mango. and Mango. I do crave other fruits as well, but Mango is little Alejandro's favorite :)

Highlights of the week?

Two things. One he's full term now! Which means he can come any day now :) and Two... we got his cool new stroller. I never ever thought getting baby gear would make me so happy. I couldn't even sleep just imagining having him in it and going for a stroll. :)

Alejandro's New Ride

I received a Buy Buy BABY giftcard from my sister and brother in law at our babyshower a couple weeks ago, so today we decided to go down to Torrance and see what we could get for our money. 

I originally wanted the City Mini, but wasn't able to get it because I had a coupon that excluded it. So after much research and test driving the Britax B-Agile was ultimately my choice. And after playing with it I'm actually glad I opted for this one instead. 

We got him the Britax B-Agile in red. It is amazingly beautiful and smooth. It's super easy to close and open up with one hand and super light weight. I think it weighs roughly 16 and a half pounds. 

I am in love with the fully reclinable seat and huge sturdy canopy. I'm sure my little man will love taking rides in it (all while looking so stylish!... lol). 

I still need to get the organizer bag to hang to hold my cup and other necessities, but I figured I'd get that later with my other gift cards :) 

Any who, anyone out there own this baby? What's your take on it?

Dear Alejandro,

I can't wait to have you in my arms. To hold your tiny body close to mine and watch you fall asleep. I can't wait to kiss you and smell you. I bet you'll smell divine! I can't wait to hear you say mama and papa...and to even hear you cry. 

There's just so much we want to share with you...so many memories we want to create. It's gonna be hard to imagine how we lived without you all these years. Because with you here baby life will take on a whole new meaning. Things we once thought were important will be left behind. Because nothing will matter more to us than to show you how much you're loved.

Maternity Leave

Feels so weird being off of work. In fact, I never thought I'd say this, but I kinda miss the drama...lol

But if anything, I am getting my much needed rest prior to having the baby. And I'm free to do as needed without thinking twice. For example, I got to go visit my gramps yesterday. I even parked further and took a nice long stroll to his resting place. Once there I sat and relaxed for a bit under this big shaded tree and took the breeze of the air. It was perfect. 

So yeah, the day was perfect and at that moment work was nowhere on my mind. In fact, all I thought about was when ill get to bring my little man here to chill with gramps. It'll be perfect.

Pearl is 1!

I cannot believe this little mamas just turned one... it feels like time just flew and continues to fly. I still remember when she was born. She had the chubbiest arms and so much strength that she could almost hold her head up from the day she was born. Aghhh... time needs to slow down. 

Funny how being at her first birthday party I started thinking about what I want to do for my little one... mind you, he's not even born yet! LOL.... 

Any who, Happy Birthday to my third little mama's. May God continue to bless you with that beautiful smile and happy go lucky personality. May you have a long, happy, healthy, and successful life filled with lots of love and happy times.

Maternity Leave

So today was my last day of work and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

It's weird because for a long time all I thought about was how wonderful it would be to be off and chill, but the worries have started to set in. I have so much to do, but don't know where to start. Then there's the part in which I have to actually give birth that suddenly hit me like a brick. LOL.

I'm hopeful I have an easy labor and that it's as pain free as possible, but really I think it's mostly because last weeks strep b test went so rough that I got scared. I mean it hurt, so I can't take that out of my head... but i'm gonna have to.

Any who, what I really want to do is plan my things to do. So here's my list (in no particular order).

1. Wash my car
2. Install car seat
3. Wash baby clothes, blankets, etc.
4. Paint play room
5. Buy stroller
6. Deep clean house
7. Take daily walks
8. Go to nearby gardens/arboratums
9. Go to the beach
10. Groom the pups
11. Finish packing my hospital bag
12. Cook at home
13. Visit nearby parks
14. RELAX

I'm pretty sure there are a million other things I want and need to do, but with pregnancy brain these are  all I could remember. LOL. 

Any suggestions?

Feliz Dia de las Madres

Although not officially a mother yet, I'm feeling the love this Mothers Day :)

Hubby (and baby) bought me these pretty roses and took me out to dinner. :) definitely, felt loved :)

Surprise Baby Shower @ Work

So yesterday, my coworkers surprised me with a babyshower at work. It was the cutest thing ever! I really, really, really wish I would've taken more pictures, but sadly I left my phone in the office and didn't want to step out to get it :/.

Any who, all were there and in good spirits, so the vibe really made me feel the love :)

The food was amazing as they did my favorite dish CEVICHE... only that without shrimp as at the moment I can't have :( The cake was also my favorite tres leches and was so cutely decorated that I didn't want to cut into it, but I had to :( lol.

Baby Alejandro got lots of goodies, including an awesome car seat that he can use from birth to elm. years. Lot's of cute baby clothes and some baby necessities, and a baby carrier which hubby and I played with last night. We also got a bunch of gift cards that we can't wait to spend :) lol

So overall, great times! :)

3D Ultrasound

Got to see my little man today... it was so exciting. Seeing him move around and YAWN was the cutest. At first he did not want to cooperate. He had his foot right in front of his face for like 10 minutes! However, soon after he moved it and let us take a peek at his face. I truly think he's a perfect mix of both hubby and I, but his lips are all ME! It's actually funny because when I texted these pictures to my sis and brother that is the first thing they both commented on. LOL

Overall, it was a good experience and we're pleased to have this memory of him :) BTW, he is still a HE :)

The bump

I was getting ready to head on to work when I looked int he mirror and Lord behold, this is what I saw!

I laugh because for along time I just saw myself as chubby, but today wow I could tell HE's really in there. It just became sooooo real! Glad I caught this because truth be told, I haven't really taken any bump pics this pregnancy. So yeah.... 33 weeks 4 days :) About four to seven weeks left!!! eeeeek!

The Not Nursery Update

Can I tell you how much I'm in love with the room? Because I totally am! It's such a relaxing spot now I just can't help wanting to be in here all the time. I still want to add his name to the wall by his play yard and am really thinking of just heading out and buying the crib. If I do, I'll put the play yard in the office that way he can sleep there when I'm working at home. So yeah...
